No matter what your wish is, we won’t let you slip!

In the Edo period, this slope way was a difficult place to walk through on the Tokaido road. Therefore, it was paved with “non-slip mountain stones” to create a stone slope. The Jizo statue halfway up this way is named after its “non-slip” charm! For this reason, many students and parents come to pray for success in exams. They hope to “proceed safely and steadily, without slipping or falling.”
