Tea Boxes, a Japanese Tea Leave Storage Tradition!

Tea boxes have been used to store tea leaves for over 100 years. Even today, craftsmen make them by hand using cedar wood from trees cut down locally in the Kawane area. Tea Boxes provide many different benefits, such as keeping out moisture and bugs, deodorization, and anti-oxidation to keep the tea leaves fresh. They are also good for storing rice, coffee, and even cameras!
