The owner used to be a sushi chef. He is particular about the handmade soba noodles, which are extremely smooth.
Soba Gen is located in a corner of Kawagoshi Kaido(river-crossing way). The shop has a lovely old-style house atmosphere. The recommendation is the lunch set. It comes with sushi and small dishes, which are also delicious! We have sweets too. It is Anmitsu(agar jelly served with red bean paste and brown sugar syrup). It’s perfect for a break while walking along the historical road!
