Introducing the bob coaster at Nomori park in Kawanecho, Shimada City.
The bob coaster is a single-seater ride similar to a roller coaster.
The course set up on a slope is astoundingly 207 meters long!
The weight limit is 65 kilograms or less. Anyone aged five or over can enjoy it with no charge.

Heading towards the entrance gate!

As the bob coaster is built on a slope, you should walk up the slope to get to the entrance gate.
As we were walking up, I heard a loud, inorganic (mechanical) announcement saying “Brake. Brake” along with the screams of kids!
This must make you feel excited!

Let’s go!

This time, we got permitted to share the photos and impressions by a family enjoying the bob coaster.
*Thank you for your cooperation!
Walking to the entrance gate and boarding on the vehicle, we noticed the pedals at our feet! Actually, they were the brakes. The staff showed us how to apply them.
It was exciting and thrilling! Have a nice trip!

You can adjust your speed on the bob coaster. Coming to the braking zone, you again hear the voice saying “Brake. Brake.” that you heard earlier!
The course has sharp curves and tunnels.

Kids were excited and commented, “It was scarier than I thought it would be!” and “I was surprised at how fast it was!”
Nomori park bob coaster is suitable for kids aged five and over. It’s a great way to make their roller coaster debut!

At the end, say cheese for everyone!

I visited there around 10:30 during Golden Week. It wasn’t crowded. There, only a few kids lined up for the bob coaster. Maybe it’s a little‐known good spot!?

About a 15-minute walk from the bob coaster! Learn how soy sauce is made at “Maruie Shoyu Kawanehonke”!

The store is located in Ieyama, Shimada City. It is a long-established soy sauce maker founded in Meiji 43(1910). You can tour the Kura(factory) where soy sauce is produced.
We observed the barrels where “moromi”, the “base” of soy sauce, is stored.

A weight is attached to a large pestle-like object. The “moromi”, packed in a bag, is squeezed to make soy sauce.

Here is a box for making koji (malt). The oldest one is said to have been made in the early Showa period!

Let’s buy some souvenirs!

You can buy seasonings that make your daily cooking more enjoyable. For example, of course soy sauce. Next, “Barreled Miso” with the Maruie Soy Sauce logo. “Balsa Miso” made with handmade miso and balsamic vinegar. Balsa Miso is delicious when dipped in vegetable sticks.
On weekends, we offer miso soup tastings. Why not try miso soup made with handmade miso?

It’s about a 14-minute walk from the bob coaster! When you come to Ieyama, you should try an ocha yokan(sweet beans tea jelly)!

It is made with Kawane tea powder, and can be eaten in a unique way. Push the cylindrical container up from the bottom with your finger. It can be eaten without getting your fingers sticky! What a revolutionary invention! It’s a perfect gift too!
